A technological watch carried out in 2023 resulted in the discovery of a scientific publication, from the “Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul”, whose subject was Mechanochemical processing in high shear thermokinetics. The mixer as an alternative to tire recycling.

The project (summary): The Grinded Tire Rubber was submitted to mechanochemical processing in a thermokinetic mixer under different processing conditions and experimentally characterized by physical, chemical, thermal and morphological methods.
The result (summary): The combination of shear and specific conditions allows a “green” and sustainable mechanochemical approach to recycling used tires.
